Quiet Abyss is a shoegaze/noise band from Kuching, Sarawak, formed in November 2025. The band consists of five members: Sulia, Keyum, Arel, Along, and Iq.

Sulia (vocalist & guitarist) delivers emotionally charged vocals while driving the core sound through rhythmic noise textures and heavy distortion, creating a dense and resonant sonic foundation.
​
Keyum (second guitarist) is responsible for crafting ambient textures and atmospheric layers, using extensive reverb, delay, and modulation effects such as flanger and chorus to build depth, space, and dimension within the band’s soundscape.
​
Arel (third guitarist) provides the melodic and counterpoint layer, often playing shimmering high-frequency melodies or incorporating reverse reverb techniques that drift in and out of the mix, adding a dreamlike and melancholic character.
​
Along (bassist) anchors the band with a solid and consistent low-end foundation. Frequently blending subtle distortion or light fuzz, his bass lines merge seamlessly with the guitars, reinforcing the overall texture rather than standing out melodically.

Iq (drummer) delivers dynamic and aggressive rhythms, serving as the backbone of the band’s intensity and live energy.

Quiet Abyss draws strong influence from bands such as Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Slowwves, Death Of Heather, and Fleuro. Their sound is defined by thick layers of distortion, expansive ambient textures, and emotionally driven vocals, forming a distinct sonic identity within the noises spectrum. Currently, Quiet Abyss has five unreleased tracks in their live setlist. The first track introduced is titled “Drift Awake,” while their second track, “Paraklowra,” has been released as a demo on Bandcamp , offering an early glimpse into the band’s musical direction and atmosphere.
